Five ways to understand one relationship

A complete relationship report

  • 4 scored methods
  • 10 Vedic categories
  • 36 Gunas Ashtakoot Milan
  • D1 + D9 individual and combined

A single matching score can hide the most useful part of a relationship reading. This calculator studies compatibility, chemistry, commitment potential, timing and visible chart evidence as separate layers, then brings them together in one report.

Each layer answers its own question. Guna Milan and the advanced Vedic engine ask how well the two charts fit, the two synastry methods test the same bond through Western aspects, the shared Dasha timeline asks when, and the combined charts show the placements behind every answer.

  • Classical Vedic matching

    Ashtakoot Guna Milan

A complete 36-point Moon and Nakshatra comparison across all eight Kootas, with each result explained instead of showing only a total.

    • 8 Kootas
    • 36 Gunas
    • Lahiri sidereal
  • Two independent systems

    Western Synastry

Dual Cosmodyne and Ciro Discepolo synastry examine the same relationship through different aspect-scoring philosophies.

    • Tropical charts
    • Planetary aspects
    • Two methods
  • Pair-first Jyotish

    Advanced Vedic Analysis

D1, D9, spouse indicators, Upapada Lagna, Jupiter protection, planetary strength, timing and long-term stability are read together.

    • 10 categories
    • D1 and D9

  • Relationship timing

    Shared Dasha Timeline

Mahadasha and Antardasha tracks reveal when both charts enter supportive, mixed or quiet relationship periods month by month.

Western astrology deep dive

Why the report uses two synastry methods

Synastry places one tropical birth chart beside the other and measures the angular relationships between their planets. Different traditions assign importance differently, so this calculator runs two independent scoring systems instead of asking one formula to speak for all of Western astrology.

2 independent checks

  • Person 1
  • Person 2
  • Harmonious
  • Discordant

Method one

Dual Cosmodyne

Dual Cosmodyne asks how much usable harmony or friction is created when the planets in both charts interact. It compares the Sun through Pluto, measures the orb of each aspect and calculates its power, harmony, discord and net contribution.

  1. 1Both tropical charts are calculated from the exact birth details.
  2. 2Planet-to-planet aspects are identified and their closeness, or orb, is measured.
  3. 3Each contact receives harmony, discord, power and net-power values.
  4. 4The contacts are accumulated with mutual-reception support to create the method total.

Best for understanding the total energetic balance of the synastry and which contacts carry the most power.

Method two

Ciro Discepolo Synastry

The Ciro Discepolo method provides a second judgment using a structured set of major Western aspects. Conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines and oppositions are evaluated by orb, classified as harmony or discord and given individual scores with plain-language interpretations.

  1. 1The two tropical charts are calculated independently from the same birth inputs.
  2. 2Major aspects between the two charts are detected and measured by degree and orb.
  3. 3Each aspect is classified as harmonious or discordant and assigned its own score.
  4. 4Aspect scores, the method breakdown and destiny-sign correspondence form an independent total.

Best for a clear second opinion on the major aspect patterns that create ease, attraction, tension or growth.

Different lens

Dual Cosmodyne emphasizes accumulated power and net harmony. Ciro emphasizes a structured judgment of major aspects.

Shared evidence

Both methods use exact inter-chart planetary contacts, aspect type and orb. They do not rely on Sun signs alone.

Better context

Agreement strengthens the pattern. A difference shows that the relationship may feel powerful without always feeling easy, or easy without being equally intense.

Classical Vedic foundation

Ashtakoot Guna Milan

Guna Milan compares the Moon signs and birth Nakshatras through eight Kootas. The maximum is 36 Gunas, but the report keeps the eight results visible because two couples with the same total can have very different strengths and challenges.

Advanced pair-first Jyotish

Advanced Vedic Compatibility

This is a separate Vedic engine, not a renamed Guna Milan score. It reads both charts in both directions and asks how each person activates the other's relationship promise across the natal chart and Navamsa.

  • Spouse-signifier resonance
  • Marriage container, Upapada Lagna and D9
  • Emotional and mental compatibility
  • Communication and conflict style
  • Romantic and physical compatibility
  • Jupiter protection
  • Timing and age alignment
  • Stability and separation resistance
  • Mangal Dosha balance
  • Family and in-law integration

What sits underneath those categories

The engine evaluates the 7th house and its lord, D1 and D9, Atmakaraka and Darakaraka using the seven-planet method, Arudha Lagna, Arudha Padas, Upapada Lagna, sign geometry, conjunction orbs and planetary aspects. Jupiter's special aspects receive dedicated attention, alongside the special aspects of Mars and Saturn.

Shadbala, Vimsopaka Bala and Bhava Bala help distinguish a promising placement from one that has enough strength to deliver. The report also names soulmate and karmic patterns, describes the love-to-marriage path and offers targeted practical guidance where recurring pressure is found.

Shared Dasha Timeline

Compatibility and timing are different questions. A strong match can meet during a demanding period, while an average match can feel unusually easy during a supportive one. The timeline helps you see that distinction.

  • Separate Mahadasha and Antardasha tracks for both people
  • Month and year divisions from the current year through the next five years
  • Five-year Earlier and Later navigation for wider exploration
  • Planet-specific colors with exact period dates available on hover
  • Shared highlights when marriage-linked Dasha lords activate both charts

Individual and Combined Charts

Astrologers should be able to inspect the placements behind an interpretation. The Charts tab keeps the visual evidence beside the reading and can open directly from supported Vedic factors.

  • Both people's D1 Rashi and D9 Navamsa charts shown separately
  • North Indian, South Indian and East Indian chart styles
  • Combined D1 and D9 charts with a separate color for each person
  • Either person's Ascendant or Moon sign can become the house reference
  • A combined sidereal Lahiri zodiac wheel places both planetary sets together

How the final score is formed

Four methods, one weighted result

Each method keeps its own traditional or established scoring logic first. Its result is normalized to a percentage, then its final weight is applied. This prevents a 36-point Vedic system from being compared directly with a Western raw total.

  • Advanced Vedic Compatibility40%
  • Dual Cosmodyne25%
  • Guna Milan20%
  • Ciro Discepolo15%

Reading the result responsibly

The percentage is the beginning, not the verdict

The overall score summarizes four permanent compatibility methods. The shared Dasha timeline and Combined Charts add timing and visual context, so they are not counted as two extra methods in the final percentage.

Look beyond the total

Read the strongest supports, main challenges and each person's directional bars. They explain how the score is likely to feel in real life.

Keep human choice in the picture

Astrology describes patterns and timing. Communication, safety, respect and shared effort still determine what a couple builds from those patterns.

Accurate birth details matter. The Ascendant, houses, D9, Upapada Lagna and Dasha timing can change when the recorded birth time is inaccurate.
